After earning a degree in Photography and Art History at the University of Georgia, I  became and artists' assistant. It was there that I discovered a love for painting. Constantly working with other artists and learning new techniques allowed me to find my own way and my own voice.                                                                                                      Needing more of a challenge in my life, I decided to leave the comfort of Atlanta and move to Los Angeles. I longed for new inspiration and I found it.  It started on my drive out with my dad as we drove on Route 66.   There I found countless neon signs that you can see in many of my paintings.                                                                                                    Once in LA, I found a wonderful community of artists and art-minded friends that supported and encouraged my art.                              Cut to 17 years later. I met my husband, a musician and we had a daughter , then after my father died, we decided to move back to Atlanta to be near my mom. It has been a big transition for me., but my San Fernando valley husband has fit right in to the slower souther ways.
